Paul Henley

".....it was very compelling, often beautiful music."
                   (Angela Goodall, 'Words and Music')
".....his highly individual voice"
                          (Ruth Henley, Cellist)

The Elgar Connection

Paul Henley's mother, Margaret knew Elgar's daughter, Carice (pictured left). They both attended the meetings of the Women's Institute in the village hall at Rushwick, near Worcester, Margaret's childhood home and near Elgar's birthplace at Broadheath. As a young girl she remembered seeing Elgar walking the streets of Worcester as an old man. Paul himself is from Worcester and this background and connection has been a motivation for him in his writing.
